Summary: The morning after
A/N: I haven’t had much time for anything except RL for the past few weeks, and that is going to be the case for a while yet, but this suddenly wrote itself for me last night. So I’m just taking ten minutes for myself to get it typed up and posted; I hope you like it. I will be back soon, I hope, as I have lots more stories waiting to be finished and tidied up, including several for Survival. Oh - as ever, Gene was in charge and he came out with something very strange, which I offer freely to anyone who wants to raise the bunny. I blame draycevixen - you’ll see why.

Rating: Green Cortina for foreplay
Pairings: Sam/Gene
Word Count: 2,067
Summary: Sam has secrets. Set after 2.08 (no spoilers)
A/N: I’ve had the first half of this in a notebook for some time, but I couldn’t figure out where to go with it until yesterday. One of the things that surprises me occasionally in discussion about Sam’s decision, is the fact that some people feel he shouldn’t have done it because of the effect on his mother. Now, as a mother myself - although not necessarily an especially good one - I have quite strong views on that. And as it turns out, so does Gene. This is possibly the first time ever that I have set out to convey a particular message through a fic, so I hope it works and isn’t too clumsy!

Rating: Green Cortina for suggested sex
Word Count: 100
Summary: Gene knew how he wanted it to be, their first time.
A/N: Hmm. Bit weird, not at all sure it works. I think it was when I started writing drabbles that my writing started to go downhill. Some people use the form brilliantly, but for me it just seems to function as a lazy substitute for having the time and application to develop an idea and write it properly.

Title: Later
Author: DorsetGirl
Rating: PG-13 for language and implied sexual relations
Pairing: Mike / Billie Joe
Disclaimer: I don't own Green Day. They are real people and this work is based on their public personalities. I make no claim to know what they’re really like and mean no offence to anybody.
Word Count: 416
Notes: Also posted at Coming Clean. This is Real Person stuff - if that squicks you, don't click. This is the first time I've written an American, so it may need whatever is the opposite of Brit-picking. Comments and friendly concrit welcome! (I've since written a Life on Mars crossover drabble, imagining that Sam Tyler was in the audience for this concert).

Pairing: Sam/Gene
Word Count: 1,510
Summary: Gene learns that taking Sam home isn’t going to be as easy as he had hoped.
A/N: Part of the Survival series. The piece that I finished Wine and Candles for is still not playing ball, so I wrote this instead. This chapter takes place on the morning Sam finally gets out of hospital, in other words a few hours before Not Just a Cry for Help. Not beta'd, so do shout if you have any comments or concrit.

This is my second attempt at Flashslash (a story written from scratch in eight minutes) – still without a prompt. This time I had the first line waiting, which didn’t seem to make that much difference in the end.

Late last night, I discovered theflashslash community, courtesy of
halotolerant. I’ve spent far too much time lately editing stories that have been too long in the making, so I thought I’d give it a go. I haven’t posted the results at that community, because I didn’t feel like following prompts, and having read Halo’s awesome Hazel/Bigwig offering it was obvious I couldn’t begin to compete.
I did write this in exactly eight minutes, though, adding only the quote marks after the time was up. It’s unpolished, to say the least - I’ve definitely written better in less time when the muse was on form - but I thought I’d post anyway and to hell with it.
