Seasonal and Topical Drabble Thingy

30th March 2010
Looking through the archives at the BBC’s On This Day, I find the following:
1st April 1957: Panorama - the famous Spaghetti Harvest documentary
27th March 1963: Dr Beeching presents his first report on reducing the railways
29th March 1981: The first London Marathon took place
Plus, obviously, it’s Easter this weekend.
So for this week I’ve chosen the prompts:
April Fool’s Day
Public Transport
Run For Your Life
Easter Eggs
As usual, don’t wait for me - if you’re inspired, go for it! It's quite all right to use the original historical event as a prompt if that suits you better.
Post your drabble as a comment to this post, and if you have any ideas for future seasonal prompts, let me know by PM. I may also use the occasional completely random prompt if something occurs to me.
The rules are minimal - One hundred words exactly, and be polite when commenting!
You can write any fandom or original fiction, any pairing or none.
You don’t have to write in English if you don’t want to.
Please note that if you do choose to write in another language, I can't promise to comment beyond a simple "Thank You", although I will do my best via Google! A rough translation would be lovely, but is not essential. The translation does not have to be 100 words, nor does it need to be polished or “good English”. Just the gist is fine, to put across the idea.
And don’t forget, as long as you are confident that your response meets one of the prompts, that’s good enough for me.

Not to be trusted (Doctor Who)
Date: 2010-03-30 05:40 pm (UTC)“I’ve been poisoned,” he groaned.
The Doctor meanwhile was happily making minor adjustments to the TARDIS’ console and was therefore ignoring his companion’s moaning. He finally finished what he was doing, triumphantly pressed a switch and watched as all the overhead lights went out.
“Bother,” he said. “I’ll have another go once I’ve eaten my ...”
At that point he looked at the Master, who had chocolate all round his face. “Have you eaten my Easter eggs as well as all of yours?”
