Well, predictably enough I can't get onto TRA. So, first thoughts:

WOW!! Just totally captivated the whole way through. And how hot was Philip looking tonight? Gorgeous!

Really???? I was not a huge fan of A2A - enjoyed it, but eh, the Gene there kind of grated on me. Too much a caricature. So he's good in this episode??? *looks hopeful*

So he's good in this episode???

God, yes!

(a) He looks more like LOM!Gene

(b) He acts more like LOM!Gene. Not so much of the bewildered and lonely going on, more of the breathtaking charisma that I fell in love with. *points to icon*

I've never rewatched most of A2A series one - just couldn't be bothered. But I can hardly wait till tomorrow morning when I can watch this one all through again and pause it every ten seconds to drool over Phil and shriek with excitement over clues and hints and God knows what.

Loved it. Didn't expect to, but couldn't look away.

Although I'm first and foremost a LOM gal, I've watched and enjoyed A2A (in a purely AU sense, if you see what I mean), and I have to say I thought tonight's episode was really good - and much better than some of the press reviews had led me to believe. I like the fact that they didn't wrap the case up neatly - a bit of an on-going storyline (and not just about Alex will-she-won't-she get home) would be a good thing.

(and yes, Phil did look quite scrumptious :D

Sorry, I forgot I hadn't replied to this; yes, this series is a lot better than last year. Rather odd that certain sections of the press still like to hate it.

It's been a rather frantic couple of weeks - oldest one had exams last week, little one's gone away for three days this morning, oldest is away next week and needs all sorts of kit - plus I had a fic I wanted to post before tonight. I got your note on Friday or Saturday, but I don't get online that much at the weekends, so my apologies for not answering before.

I'm about to start cracking on with your beta; various circumstances have conspired to remove a lot of my private screen-time, but I will get through it as quickly as I can.
