Yeah, twitter is one of those things that you love or hate -- there is no lukewarm feelings about it. Personally I really enjoy reading friends twitter lists -- gives me some insight into what they are doing, despite distance in time and geography -- which is why I started posting my own tweets. Sorry you find it so annoying. :(
