“Gene? Do you ever feel we might be reaching the sunset of our lives?”
“Sunset? Never. Teatime, love, that’s all.”
“But Gene, you’re...”
“Eighty? Rub it in, why don’t you?”
“But seriously, Gene...”
“Seriously, Sam, I intend to carry on for a few years yet. As long as I can give my toyboy the occasional shagging I’ll keep going.”
“Good... promise me one thing, though, Gene? When it... well, when we... I want us to go together. Don’t want to leave you, can’t live without you. Will you promise me that?”
“I will, love. Got years yet though, daft bastard.”
